19.6A Hosein183/7
Run OUT. OUT! Run Out. Keon Gaston to Mckenny Clarke. Half volley, down leg side on the back foot working, hit pad to silly point, direct hit by Gaston. We have reached the end of the first innings and The Trinbago Knight Riders posted a competitive total of 183 runs. Colin Munro set the tone with a well-made 43 at the top of the order before Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard combined to give the innings some impetus. Pollard was at his explosive best, hitting 65 off just 29 to propel the team to a defendable score. The Kings bowlers bowled well in periods, with Roston Chase and Keon Gaston taking crucial wickets. Overall, the Knight Riders will be pleased with their late innings acceleration, particularly Pollard's fireworks and will be looking to defend this total aggressively in the second half. The Kings will need a strong start to chase down this score.
