Australia A have recorded a comfortable 42 run victory over England A at Phillip Oval. Chasing 262, the visitors got off to a dreadful start as they were teetering at 4-41 off 10 overs. Elwiss and Davidson-Richards both played very well for their half-centuries in the middle order but neither could convert it into a big score and once they were both dismissed, the hosts were always in the driver's seat. Strano was the pick of the bowlers, with 2-28 off 8 overs. Both teams will want to reduce their number of wides and sharpen up their ground fielding before the next match here on Sunday.
