What a cracker of a game, it went down to the very end of the last day and Australia steals victory in the last over. Set 290 to win, England A's innings got off to a very steady start and the game was looking like it was heading towards a draw. They were 2/181 with only an hour of play left, then capitalised on a few loose overs from Australia A and all of a sudden were back in front. However, as shadows lengthened and light faded they tried to force a bit too much, leading to the loss of a big clump of wickets, putting Australia A back in the drivers seat. At 8 wickets down, they finally decided to play for the draw. In near darkness, Aussie captain Charli Knott was forced to bowl spin so she took the ball in the last over with 1 wicket to win. With her second ball, she clean bowled tail-ender Georgia Davis to seal a hard-earned victory for her team. It was a fitting way to end such a great match and outstanding series. Across the last four days there were fantastic performances with the bat from both sides, and a lot of the bowlers gave it their all, but Charli Knott was the star with a fifty in the first innings and a century in the second, as well as the final wicket to seal the deal.
